The Reed Center of the Marcus Historical Society is located at 208 W. Cedar Street.  Built in 1904, the structure was originally the home of Nazareth Lutheran Church, a Danish congregation.  Most recently the building was used for Sunday School classrooms by Faith Lutheran Church.  The Marcus Historical Society purchased the property from Faith Lutheran in March 2007.

Funding for the purchase and renovation of the Reed Center was provided by Robert and Maxine Reed in memory of his parents Carl A. and Hazel A. Reed.

From the Marcus News, June 1904:  "The Danish Lutheran people have moved the parsonage east of the old site, and have the foundation laid for a new church which will be erected as soon as the work on the parsonage is completed.  It will be [a] nice property when completed, and the parishioners are to be congratulated on their enterprise and zeal in erecting the same."
